What is this blog for?

The purpose of this blog is to share ideas for teaching English to kids!

I will include some comments and questions about the topics discussed in class and you have to participate expressing your own points of view. You need to check the blog constantly 'cause depending on your classmates' opinions or ideas, you will answer. It means that you must participate more than once for each comment I publish. Make the blog a dynamic window where we can share links, activities, ideas and any other tool that can help us to teach children.

  14. I liked Gerald's game, too!! and your game was nice, Carle! Very original! All the games presented by all of you were awesome!! :-) When teaching kids: Should we make more emphasis on games or songs?

  15. Thanks dear teacher...! =) we can play my game again in the final activity if you want to, but I promise to give the right instructions to you before playing it, 'cause I did not explain it well =( that's why it turned a little messy when playing =s, but it does not matter, 'cause your contributions helped me to learn how to control the group at the time we are playing games =) so going back to your question I can say that if i had to teach children, I would make more emphasis on games because games are what they like the most, so teaching them through games would be an easy way to catch their eyes and certainly they will love classes. =) bye. see you in the next comments he he he =)

  16. Hello Michis jeje, I invented the game, and my cousin helped me with the letters,. I like Geraldine's game, and more because my team won jeje

I believe that emphasis should be on both, as children like to play and sing, they can learn and have fun at the same time.

  19. Of course Geraldine, games are excellent resources to teach and learn.. =) Do you think that it is the reason why teachers always apply at least a game before starting the class, like a warm up activity to teach us a little about the content we are going to see?, .see ya¡ love you all =) (v)

  23. hey guys, sorry for the delay in posting my comment. according to your 2nd question teacher..... My game came to my mind that wednesday when you said "and for our next class, i need you to bring a game for teaching the same topic you taught with the song" and since my song sux HARD, my mind said "hey lets bring a nice game for next class, like twister or the lucky wheel" so i have to say that i have like Zillions of voices in my mind that fight each other in micro seconds just to defend their idea. and that`s how i dediced to bring the twister :)

  24. oh. we should emphasize in both. so you can also use games with songs to teach english. for instance: that song you taught us on th e1st class(my first atleast) head-shoulders-knees and toes knees and toes.... u see? u can use games+songs. o songs with movements that could caught the kids attention:D
